God's Glory

As I survey the billowing clouds,
It feels like heaven here on earth.
The glinting gold, and rays of light,
Catch my eye and I catch my breath.

Above the earth and looking down,
It looks like heaven here on earth.
The senses pricked, overflowing
With glorious information.
As far as my eyes can strain to see
It appears to be heaven here on earth.
Myriad patterns and beautiful sights
Too much for the beholder.

I have to squint at the bright shining light
Which must be heaven here on earth.
God’s glory, God’s grandeur,
Is here for all to see.
From my aircraft seat, my thoughts lift up
To Him who sits in glory.
But this is not heaven here on earth
Just the wonder of creation.

The best is yet to come.
