Released like an unfurled, fluttering flag,
Free like a caged bird’s virgin flight,
Your Spirit is at work in me.

Cut loose like a hooked fish returned to sea,
Unbound like an old book with many loose leaves,
Your Spirit has anointed me.

Unchained like a locket without a clasp,
Open like a newly-oiled creaky gate,
Your Spirit has energised me.

Unlocked like a jewel box with a new key,
Loosed like a tight belt after a feast,
Through You I am totally free!
